A build that took several months on and off to complete, to the tune of Tom Waits ‘What’s he building?’ on repeat in the background. The residents of an ordinary pair of NY tenement buildings wake up to find a strange, industrial structure erected in the previously vacant middle block between them. No windows, no one is seen coming or going, just one thick metal door, flickering lights and a persistent industrial pumping noise……..thump, thump, thump………
